Bigtooth Slime Fest 2010

Bigtooth Slime Fest 2010

It was that time of year and the boys from Bigtooth Tackle headed north to spend the day on the ice with the boys in search of the monster pike.  The trip started off pretty rough as we had to drive down some really bad roads and on some really bad ice to get to our fishing area but we made it.  Hopper, Bigtooth Nation Pike Maniac,  had the first flag and it was a monster.  He did battle for over 10 minutes and we had the fish half way out of the hole and it broke the line with one head shake.  This fish was one of the largest pike I have ever looked at pushing 30 to 34 pounds!  We had a great rest of the trip catching several fish over the 40 inch mark.

The new “Natural” Rig Flouro-Carbon HD was the hot rig.

Special thanks to Riverside Bait & Tackle and Amy for putting up with our crew in morning, selling us such good bait and of coarse selling the best quick strike rig on the market.  If your in Warroad stop in and say hi to them and they will put you one fish!

Below are a few of the fish we caught!!!!!!  (may take a while to load because we caught so many big ones, what!)
